Strategic Medium-Term Targets
During the earnings call, CEO Ron O’Hanley and CFO John Woods outlined a new medium-term framework aimed at sustained margin expansion. The company is targeting a 35% pre-tax margin and a return on tangible common equity in the mid-20s. These goals are supported by three strategic pillars:
- Expansion of core business activities.
- Growth in alternatives, digital assets, and wealth services.
- A comprehensive technology and AI-driven transformation program.
The transformation program is expected to yield approximately $1 billion in run-rate benefits by 2029. Additionally, the company continues to focus on capital return, announcing a 10% increase in its quarterly common dividend to $0.92 per share following the latest Federal Reserve stress test results.
