Strategic Expansion in the West Midlands
UK-based accounting firm Bishop Fleming has announced the appointment of two senior professionals to its Birmingham office, a move intended to bolster the firm’s advisory services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and owner-managed businesses. Jack Edmonds has joined the practice as a partner, while Julie Mole has been appointed as a director.
These appointments follow a period of growth for the firm’s Midlands operations. In May of this year, Bishop Fleming added three new partners to the Birmingham location. With the latest arrival of Edmonds, the office now reports a total of nine partners, with plans for additional senior leadership recruitment expected in the autumn.
Focus on Funding and Advisory Services
The new team members arrive from Crowe UK, bringing extensive experience in corporate advisory and financial strategy. Jack Edmonds joins with nearly 15 years of experience advising owner-managed businesses, while Julie Mole brings eight years of expertise in corporate funding solutions.
According to the firm, the strategic integration of their roles is designed to provide clients with a comprehensive suite of services. The firm aims to bridge the gap between day-to-day accounting and high-level strategic business advice, specifically focusing on:
- Funding readiness and capital acquisition
- Banking relationship management
- Debt advisory support
- Operational improvement and expansion strategies
Institutional Growth Strategy
Mark Taylor, partner and lead of the Birmingham office, stated that the additions reflect the firm’s long-term commitment to the region. “Both Jack and Julie are fantastic additions to our Birmingham team. They bring deep experience, strong market relationships and a highly collaborative way of working that will be of huge benefit to our clients,” Taylor noted.
The expansion is part of a broader initiative by Bishop Fleming to strengthen its senior leadership team across the Midlands and the South West. By deepening its regional bench, the firm aims to position itself as a primary service provider for ambitious businesses looking to navigate complex financial landscapes, from securing growth capital to managing debt obligations.
